Reflect
A quiet place to write through what you are carrying.
Open— A reflection space for life between cultures
Between countries, languages, and versions of yourself, a particular loneliness can sit in the throat. Sometime it is hard to put it into words, but it is real.
InBetween is an unjudgemental and trusted space for that in-between life: to write, to be understood, to connect with others, and to find support when you need it.
— Words that already exist
Some languages have words for some of these feelings. If you've felt something you couldn't say, you're not alone.
the ache of being a stranger; loneliness in exile, even chosen exile
longing for something loved and lost — that may, or may not, return
homesickness for a home you cannot return to — or that never was
yearning toward an elsewhere you can't quite name
— Inside the room
A written exchange can help you hear your own thought more clearly, in any language that works in the moment.
What it can feel like
I miss home, but when people ask what I miss, I never know how to answer.
Maybe because it's not one thing. When you picture home, what's the first image that comes to mind?
Start with what you can say. The rest can come later.
— WHAT CAN HAPPEN NEXT
After a reflection, InBetween can suggest a gentle next step: a short exercise, a guided meditation, a community conversation, or professional support. You choose what fits.
